Closing in on Boy King George
Another citizen of the Commonwealth shoots and scores:
We note that he's zeroing in on the quesion we've been asking for some time now, which is: is the Bush administration inept or dishonest?

The president said at his Tuesday press conference, "Listen, every war plan looks good on paper until you meet the enemy, not just the war plan we executed in Iraq but the war plans that have been executed throughout the history of warfare."
Well, no, actually, the war plan for Iraq was always naïve and half-baked, even before it blew up in the face of car bombs, improvised explosive devices and sectarian violence.
The war plan for Iraq was fundamentally flawed, notably providing too few boots on the ground to secure the country once the regime change was accomplished.
The president and his top advisers chose to ignore and indeed tried to suppress any advice or facts that conflicted with their dream of an easy and transformative pre-emptive war.
The chaos that ensued was all too predictable to the many who are not mired in the happy-talk groupthink that defines the upper echelon and the policies of the Bush administration.
Moreover, the president refuses to widen his circle of advisers or to make necessary and appropriate adjustments to misguided policies, and not just regarding Iraq.
President Bush needs to stop serving up facile, misleading answers and start asking the hard questions.
